WHAT CAUSES BAD GUM DISEASES LIKE GINGIVITIS AND PERIODONTITIS?

Generally, diseases of the gums like Gingivitis and Periodontitis involves inflammations in the gums and progressive loss of the alveolar bone structure that is under the teeth. This is caused by plague acting on leftover food after meals. If you do not regularly brush your teeth and use dental floss after meals, you get a sticky, gel-like layer that forms forms over your teeth. Thats dental plague. Overall time, this plague builds up and forms tartar which infects your gum and underlying bone structures that support each tooth. Eventually, they decay and weaken, causing your teeth to become loose and have to be removed by your dentist.

Gingivitis is the name given to the first stage of bad gum disease. At this stage, you can observe gingivitis symptoms such as gum bleeding from brushing or flossing your teeth. Your close friends and partner may also complain that you started to have bad breath recentlly or you may find a foul taste in your mouth constantly. Luckily, only the gum tissues are affected while the teeth and its underlying bones are still strong and safe. You should get a dentist to remove the plaque and prevent it from producing more toxins that inflammate the gum tissues and spread irreversible damage to your teeth.

When the condition of your gums reaches the periodontitis stage, the underlying teeth structures adjacent to your gums have been irreversibly damaged by the plague toxins. Your gums feels soft and can be pressed back by your fingers. You may also notice your teeth looks longer because your gums have actually receded. You can start feeling your teeth is shaky while eating and chewing food. If you do not have bad gum problems like Periodontitis and Gingivitis, carry on proper care of your teeth.
