Tetracycline Stains Can Be Improved With BriteSmile

Interestingly, not many teeth whitening products claim to be able to remove tetracycline stains on the teeth. The conventional solution is to wear porcelain veneers to cover up these tetracycline stains. Although BriteSmile claims to be able to remove tetracycline stains, be aware that many treatments may be required and the total treatment costs can be very high. It seems that persistence and time is more important for removing such discolored teeth. By the way, it seems that abrasion-based whitening toothpastes have absolutely no effects on clearing up tetracycline stains since they are intrinsic stains.

The BriteSmile treatment involves a patented blue-light laser technology that is supposed to produce teeth whitening effects up to 8 shades brighter within an hour. Interestingly, they claim to use a whitening teeth gel that has a low 10% amount of hydrogen peroxide as the active bleaching ingredient while still being more effective compared to other types of teeth bleaching gels that contain up to 30% hydrogen peroxide. They attribute this to their proprietary laser light technology that makes full use of the limited bleaching agents.

BriteSmile spas are however a mixed thoughts. I understand they are trying to target the affluent cliente by offering spa and beauty treatments at the same time. However, that somehow cheapens the entire experience and I may even wonder is the person performing the BriteSmile laser whitening a real qualified dentist or a aesthetic beautician. When the treatment location looks like too luxurious and spa-like, one cannot help but suspect most of the treatment fees are going into unnecessary wastage. That certainly deters a lot of bread and butter type of customers that need to remove their tetracycline stains. Alternatively, stick to the below $50 cheap DIY teeth whitening.
