Methamphetamine And Bad Breath
Methamphetamine is a type of soft drugs that is very popular in town and with teens. It is very addictive and dangerous to people who tried it just once and got hooked. If you are a parent, there are some signs of Methamphetamine consumption that can be observed easily in teens. One of the most common signs is the sudden onset of bad breath that have a chemical like smell which is very different from those of poor dental hygiene and leftover foods.
The resulting breath smells of methamphetamine cannot be easily removed via brushing the teeth and gargling with mouth washes. At the same time, look out for any signs of dilated pupils in the eyes of the teens. This is another common symptom of methamphetamine victims. There may also be the occurrence of frequent and unexplained nosebleeds. The nose and lips can also become dry and sensitive leading to cracked and bleeding skins on these organs. Since the soft drug is often inhaled for quicker results instead of smoking it, the teen addict may also suffer from sinus or other nasal illnesses. Teens may also develop a lack of appetite and even become anorexic. Often deprived from sleep, the young victim may get insufficient rest and become nervous or aggressively hyperactive.
The young addict may try to hide obvious signs of methamphetamine use by excessively using mouthwashes, and other breath refresheners to try and eliminate the sudden bad breath. This drug is extremely addictive; be attentive to tell tale signs and you may be able to put stop the problem before it becomes a big headache. The long term damages caused by methamphetamines include a fast unstable heart beat rate, increased blood pressure, damage to the blood vessels in the brain leading to eventual strokes or sudden death. Take careful note when you suddenly notice the methamphetamine based chemical smelling bad breath.
