What Really Causes Bad Breath Problems?
Bad breath also known medically as halitosis is a most unfortunate and embarrassing problem to happen to anyone. It is worse than not having white teeth. When your breath starts to smell a little funky, you are often the last person to know. It is still a taboo to tell someone that his or her breath stinks like hell even when you are madly pissed by the stench. It is still difficult to tell so when all you are trying is to help that poor soul improve his oral health. On the other hand, once you have discovered a problem with your oral breath, or you have been traumatized by having smelly halitosis, you may become extremely paranoid and keep thinking your breath is not fresh and try excessive mouth washing with specially formulated toothpastes and oral refresheners. Luckily, it is quite easy to cure bad breath halitosis by understanding what are the real causes of oral breath problems.
Lets start with food and eating habits. If you smoke regularly, the tobacco smoke will linger in the mouth and has as bad a smell as garlic. It will also cause the mouth to become drier and your saliva is unable to effectively wash away bacteria on your teeth and tongue. If your daily diet consists of onions, garlic and other strong flavor foods, these strong odors tend to remain in your mouth, tongue and teeth for a longer time. If you are careful with your tooth brushing, flossing and gargling with minty mouth fresheners, the odors can be completely removed most of the time. However, if you are prone to gas burping and belching after meals then the air bomb exhaled will still be brought upon those around you. Although such strong flavored foods have become very notoriously linked to bad breath problems and many people are consciously avoiding them, onions and garlics are still very healthy and natural super foods that should be consumed regularly. Suggestion? Eat them when you will be alone with no social interaction for the next three hours. If you burp and belch frequently, you may have gastroenterology problems so seek medical help as soon as possible. Even if you are not touching strong flavored foods, you still must brush, floss and gargle after every meal. Tiny leftover food pieces that are stuck between your teeth starts to rot in the mouth and cause the rapid growth of several hundred types of smelly bacteria which cause bad breath.
If you are sure that you have done what we have listed above but still getting persistent halitosis breaths, other serious medical conditions such as ketosis, diabetes etc may be the cause. In this case, it is best to consult a doctor or dentist for safety measures. Take a blood test to determine the correct causes of your persistent bad breath. Even if you already know your medical problem, trying to cure halitosis bad breath safely and effectively will still require the medical knowledge of doctors.
